Poland

Poland’s big lagers belong to global groups: Tyskie and Lech to Asahi, Żywiec to Heineken, Okocim to Carlsberg. Żywiec and Okocim also brew the Baltic porters the BJCP takes as classic examples. Grodzisk Wielkopolski gave its name to an oak-smoked wheat beer, revived after it died out in 1993, and Pinta’s Atak Chmielu of 2011, an American IPA, is often taken as the start of Poland’s craft beer revival.
