Browar Ciechan

The brewery was founded in 1864 and developed from the 1870s by the Warsaw brewer Karol Machlejd. After nationalisation and privatisation it was closed in 2001; Marek Jakubiak bought it in 2002 and brewed again, and it has carried the Ciechan name since 2007. Its honey beer was a big commercial success, and the range includes a Baltic porter.
