Thornbridge

Jim Harrison bought Thornbridge Hall near Bakewell and in 2005 started brewing in its outbuildings with his partner Simon Webster; Martin Dickie, later a co-founder of BrewDog, helped develop Jaipur there. Jaipur, a 5.9% IPA with American hops, won more than 100 awards, and in 2025 more than 3.5 million pints of it were brewed for cask. The BJCP lists Jaipur as an English IPA and Saint Petersburg as an imperial stout. In 2024 Thornbridge recommissioned a Burton Union set donated by Marston’s.
