St. Bernardus
In 1946 the monks of Westvleteren asked Evariste Deconinck to brew and sell their beers under licence at Watou. The agreement ended in 1992, and the beers have carried the St. Bernardus name since. The Depypere family took over in 1998. Abt 12 is a quadrupel, a dark strong ale; Prior 8 and Pater 6 are dubbels, with a tripel, a witbier and Extra 4, a single.
