Colombia
German brothers founded Bavaria in Bogotá in 1889, and it grew into the brewer of Águila, Club Colombia and Póker, with more than 90% of the market; it belongs to AB InBev. Since 2019 Central Cervecera, owned by the soft-drink maker Postobón and Chile’s CCU, has challenged it with Andina. Bogotá Beer Company, the country’s best-known craft brand, has belonged to AB InBev since 2015. Beer from the Andes to the Caribbean tells the story.
