Cerveza Loba
Loba says it began brewing in 2011; Sergio López, a biochemical engineer, started with 400 litres a month in glass jugs in his grandmother’s kitchen. In 2015 it moved into its “cave” near the Santa Tere market in central Guadalajara, where the brewery, taproom and Loba Gastropub now stand, with a capacity of 50,000 litres. It claims to have brewed the first India pale lager, gose and pre-Prohibition lager in Mexico. Clandestina is its pre-Prohibition lager, Negra an American porter and Paraíso a gose; both Clandestina and Paraíso won medals at the 2026 Copa Cervecera del Pacífico.
