Chimay

The Trappist community of Scourmont, near Chimay, settled in 1850 and began brewing in 1862. In 1996 it set up the Chimay-Wartoise Foundation, a charity, which now holds the company’s shares. The beers carry the Authentic Trappist Product label: Red, a dubbel; Blue, a dark strong ale; Triple, a tripel; Gold, a single; and the newer Green and Yellow.
