Cabesas Bier
Guido Arezo spent 1991 as an exchange student in California with a brewer’s family and brought a home-brew kit back to Tacuarembó, but could not get ingredients. After a course in Buenos Aires in 2007 he built his own equipment, and Cabesas Bier was founded at about the same time as Mastra and Davok, the three counted as Uruguay’s craft pioneers. It invested in a new brewery in 2014. Its best-known beers are IPA Atómica, an American IPA, Sabotaje, an oatmeal stout, a Scottish ale and APA Revolution, an American pale ale.
