Davok
Davok began as a hobby among friends who came across brewing in a bioengineering textbook. It sold its first beer in January 2008, a few months after Mastra, first from a former butcher’s shop with home-built equipment, then from Aquiles Lanza in Montevideo, and since March 2020 from a brewery at Barros Blancos, Canelones. Three partners run it, and one has taught brewing courses for years, which many of the country’s newer brewers took. The range includes an American IPA, an American pale ale, an Irish red and an oatmeal stout, sold in cans.
