Baladin
Teo Musso opened the Le Baladin pub in his home village of Piozzo, near Cuneo, in 1986 and turned it into a brewpub in 1996. Isaac, a witbier, and Super, in 1997, were the first Italian craft beers sold in bottles. In 2004 Musso and the beer writer Lorenzo “Kuaska” Dabove designed the Teku tasting glass. Baladin grows its own barley and hops and became an agricultural brewery in 2012; its Nazionale was presented as the first beer made wholly from Italian ingredients. It brewed 27,000 hectolitres in 2025 and sells in 47 countries; in October 2026 a Dutch family office agreed to invest EUR 16.4 million for a minority stake.
