Cervejaria Baden Baden
Four partners founded Baden Baden in 1999 in the mountain resort of Campos do Jordão, among them the owner of the Choperia Baden Baden, a German restaurant opened in 1985; the fall of the real that January had made imported beer too dear. The brewmaster Carlos Hauser came from Antarctica. The first beer was a draught Red Ale in 2000, and from 2001 Baden Baden bottled a Pilsen, a Bock and a Stout. Schincariol bought it in 2007, and it passed to HEINEKEN Brasil in 2017. The range of about 15 includes a Witbier and an American IPA. The factory tour, run since 1999, is the best-rated attraction in Campos do Jordão on TripAdvisor.
