Wicked Weed Brewing

The brothers Walt and Luke Dickinson founded Wicked Weed in Asheville, North Carolina, in 2012 with their friends Ryan, Rick and Denise Guthy. They started with West Coast IPAs and Belgian ales, moved more and more into sour beers, and made more than 500 beers in five years. The Funkatorium on Asheville’s South Slope was the first taproom on the East Coast given over to sour and mixed-culture beer. Wicked Weed joined Anheuser-Busch on 3 May 2017. Freak of Nature is the BJCP’s example of a double IPA, and Pernicious, a West Coast IPA, is its best seller.
