Timothy Taylor
Timothy Taylor opened a brewery in Keighley in 1858 and moved to the Knowle Spring site in 1863, where an artesian well sunk in 1894 still supplies the water. Landlord makes up about 80% of output, has been Champion Beer of Britain four times, and the brewery calls it the UK’s best-selling cask beer; the BJCP lists it as a classic best bitter. The company is an independent family brewer with about 19 pubs in Yorkshire and Lancashire.
