Naparbier

Four colleagues who had lost their jobs founded Naparbier as a cooperative in 2009, with their unemployment payments, at Noáin near Pamplona; the name joins Napar, Navarre, and Bier. Exports began soon after, helped by Jeppe Bjergsø, later the founder of Evil Twin, and RateBeer named it Spain’s best brewery in 2016 and 2017. In 2024 it joined Bidassoa Basque Brewery and Mala Gissona in one company brewing at Noáin. Aker is a West Coast IPA, Irati a Helles, Bardenas a Hefeweizen, and ZZ+ an American amber ale.
