Birra Ichnusa
Antonio Birocchi, Aristide Giorgetti and Francesco Vincenzi founded the brewery in Cagliari on 8 June 1912; Ichnusa is an ancient Greek name for Sardinia. The brewery at Assemini, opened in 1967, was the first in Italy with cylindro-conical fermenters, according to Italian Wikipedia. Heineken bought the brand in 1986. All Ichnusa beers are brewed and bottled at Assemini, which makes over 1.4 million hectolitres a year. Ichnusa Non Filtrata, an unfiltered lager, came out in 2017 for the plant’s fiftieth year.
