Cerveza Fauna
The brothers Luis and Alejandro Larios Rizo started Fauna as home brewers in Mexicali around 2011 or 2012. In 2016 it had the largest capacity of about 20 Mexicali microbreweries, some 400,000 litres a year, and was exporting to a bar in Taipei. Copa Cerveza MX named it the best large brewery in Mexico in 2017 and 2018. Lycan Lupus, the flagship, is an American IPA and Hazy Lycan a New England IPA; Mala Vida, a Belgian blonde, won gold at Cerveza México 2015, and Nox Arcana is an imperial stout.
