Cervecería Cuello Negro
Three friends came up with Cuello Negro at the Valdivia film festival in October 2003. Their first brewery at Punucapa, near Valdivia, made amber beers, and in 2009 production moved to the El Arenal area of the city. Its signature beers are Ámbar and a foreign extra stout of 8%; a session IPA came in 2023, a lager in 2024 and a hazy IPA in 2025. It employs more than twenty people and brews with Valdivia’s rain-fed water.
