Carlsberg Sverige (Pripps, Carnegie)
Carlsberg formed Carlsberg Sverige in 2001 by merging Pripps and Falcon, and brews at the Falcon brewery in Falkenberg. Pripps began in Gothenburg in 1828 and lives on as a brand; Pripps Blå, a light lager, dates from 1959. Carnegie Porter is the historic beer: Carlsberg says porter brewing began at the Lorentska brewery in Gothenburg in 1817, and David Carnegie took it over in 1836. It is a Baltic porter of 5.5%, sold as a vintage beer that improves in the cellar.
