Bellwoods Brewery
Mike Clark and Luke Pestl founded Bellwoods in 2012 as a small brewery and restaurant behind a white picket fence on Ossington Avenue in Toronto, and in 2016 added a production brewery with oak foeders and a canning line. It now has more than 100 staff and releases hundreds of beers a year, all with labels by Doublenaut, a design studio once its neighbour. Jelly King, a dry-hopped sour of 5.6%, is its best-known beer; Witchshark is a double IPA, Roman Candle its first IPA, and Bring Out Your Dead an imperial stout aged in Armagnac barrels.
