A. Le Coq

The Tartu brewery grew from breweries of 1800 and 1826. A. Le Coq & Co., a London business that exported bottled Russian imperial stout to Russia, moved to brew its stout at Tartu to escape high Russian duties, and the brewery took its name in 1913. Olvi bought it in 1997, and it is Estonia’s oldest continuously working brewery and its largest drinks producer. Its Porter is a dark lager-type beer.
