Wadworth
Henry Wadworth bought the Northgate Brewery in Devizes in 1875 and in 1885 moved to a new tower brewery nearby. Finding it too big and inefficient, the company built the Folly Road Brewhouse on the edge of town in 2022 and 2023 and left the old site. 6X, first brewed in 1923, is its best-known beer, and until 2025 it delivered cask beer to local pubs by shire horse. Toby Bartholomew, of the fifth generation, leads the family firm and its more than 140 pubs.
