Volfas Engelman
The brewery traces itself to Rafailas Volfas in 1853, and in 1894 his son bought Ferdinand Engelman’s brewery near the Kaunas railway station. In interwar Kaunas the merged brewery sold a pilsner, Lithuanian and imperial porters and an English-style beer. Nationalised in 1940, it ran in Soviet times as Ragutis, and passed to Olvi’s A. Le Coq in 1997; it took back the Volfas Engelman name in 2011.
