Thisted Bryghus

Thisted Bryghus was set up in 1902 from the estate of a bankrupt brewery, and more than 2,000 shareholders own it, many from Thy and Mors. From the 1980s it turned to speciality beer: Porse Guld, brewed with bog myrtle, in 1984, and Øko Thy, Denmark’s first organic beer, in 1995. Since 1989 it has brewed Limfjordsporter, a nearly black, bottom-fermented porter of 7.9% with notes of liquorice and smoke.
