Tennent's (Wellpark)

Hugh and Robert Tennent founded the brewery beside the Molendinar Burn in Glasgow in 1740, and Hugh Tennent first brewed Tennent’s Lager in 1885. Wikipedia credits the brewery with the first draught, canned and keg lagers in Britain. C&C Group bought the brewery and brand in 2009, and Tennent’s Lager holds about 60% of the Scottish lager market. In March 2026 C&C also bought the Innis & Gunn brand out of administration.
