Cervecería Regional
Cervecería Regional began in Maracaibo on 14 May 1929 with 41 shareholders, German equipment and a German brewmaster, and says its beer won gold at the 1937 Paris exposition. The Cisneros group bought it in 1992 and took it national, opening a brewery at Cagua, Aragua, in 1997. Regional Light, launched in 2000, became the leading light beer in the country. Its Maracaibo brewery still has its original kettles. Morena is a Vienna-style lager, and Cardenal, a Helles, came back in cans in 2025.
