Krombacher
Johannes Haas set up the brewery in his father’s inn at Krombach on 4 February 1803, and Bernhard Schadeberg took it over in 1922, beginning the family ownership that continues today. With 5.74 million hectolitres sold in Germany in 2023 it is one of the country’s largest breweries. Its Pils, a German Pils, is brewed with its own spring water.
