Hill Farmstead Brewery
Shaun Hill brewed at small Vermont breweries and at Nørrebro Bryghus in Copenhagen before founding Hill Farmstead in 2010 on his family’s land at Greensboro Bend, in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, where the Hills have farmed since 1791. RateBeer named it the best new brewery in the world in 2011 and the best brewery in the world in 2012 and from 2014 to 2020. It is known for pale ales, IPAs, porters and saisons. Susan is the BJCP’s example of a hazy IPA, and Arthur, a saison, its example of a Brett beer.
