Chodovar
The oldest written record of brewing at Chodová Planá dates from 1573. After a fire in 1861 the brewery was rebuilt over cellars cut into the granite. In 1992 it became the only satellite brewery to leave the Plzeňský Prazdroj group, and a family has run it since. It has its own floor maltings and a beer spa hotel, and since 2008 the name Chodské pivo has been protected in the EU. Skalní ležák is its unfiltered half-dark lager.
