CCU Argentina

Chile’s CCU entered Argentina in 1994 with the Salta brewery and in 1995 bought Cervecería Santa Fe, founded in 1912. It has brewed Heineken under licence since 2003. In 2008 it bought the Imperial, Bieckert and Palermo brands with a brewery at Luján. In 2018 an agreement with AB InBev ended its Budweiser licence early and brought it Isenbeck and other brands, plus US$306 million. CCU Argentina brews at Luján, Santa Fe and Salta and calls itself the country’s second brewer, behind Quilmes. Schneider, a pale golden lager, and Imperial, sold as Lager, IPA, Amber, APA, Golden and Stout, are its best-known beers.
