Brains
Samuel Arthur Brain and his uncle bought Cardiff’s Old Brewery in 1882, and the company opened the Dragon Brewery at Tremorfa in 2019. After the pandemic it leased its pubs to Marston’s and sold others to clear debt; the brewery says it remains independent and family-owned and now focuses on brewing. SA is a best bitter, Brains Bitter a BJCP ordinary bitter and Brains Dark a dark mild.
