Berliner Kindl

Berlin innkeepers founded the Vereinsbrauerei Berliner Gastwirte in Rixdorf on 1 February 1872, and it took the Berliner Kindl name in 1910; the golden boy holding a tankard dates from 1907. After reunification the Schultheiss and Kindl plants were combined at Hohenschönhausen, which passed to the Oetker group’s Radeberger Gruppe in 2004. Its Jubiläums Pilsener is a German Pils. Berliner Kindl Weisse is soured with lactic bacteria alone, which German Wikipedia says makes it no longer a traditional Berliner Weisse.
